About the course
Negotiation competence is the ability to reach a mutually acceptable agreement through discussion with the other party, presenting your own interests clearly while taking account of the other person’s needs. It helps you prepare for negotiations, justify your position, avoid needless concessions and confrontation, maintain long-term relationships and achieve results that benefit both sides. During the course, participants will become familiar with the key negotiation approaches and tools (for example, interest-based negotiation, BATNA, ZOPA and expanding the range of options). They will learn to plan a negotiation strategy, apply persuasion and questioning techniques and manage emotions and pressure, and will develop the skills to reach agreements and ensure they are implemented, both at work and in everyday situations.
